yes I have been watching the commonwealth games because I enjoy watching people comete in games like atletics,netball and those sort of games.
ReplyDeleteI think the games are important to New Zealand because its important to compete against other contries that you wouldn't play every year. what would life be like if we didnt compete. I like it how we have more of a chance of winning gold medals than at the olympics. Or any other medals. I look forward to the commonwealth games everytime it is on because there is netball and sevens that arent played in the olympics. The commonwealth games are awesome.

I have been watching the commonwealth games because it only happens every 4 years, because I like watching the New Zealand athletes compete and because there are sports being played that I am interested in (sevens rugby, tennis, table tennis ect.).
ReplyDeleteI think that the commonwealth games are important to New Zealand especially the younger athletes because it gives them experience as well as a better chance at getting a medal in some sports. It also important because it gives us a insight to how we fear to the most of the world.

I have been watching the commonwealth games because I enjoy watching sport and I love watching the kiwis compete and win medals.(In the holidays the tv was on the commonwealth games all day most days.)
ReplyDeleteI think the commonwealth games are important to New Zealand because we can play other countries that we haven't played before. The commonwealth games help improve the athletes because of the competitiveness the other athletes bring to the games.

I have been watching the commonwealth game because they do different sports to the olympic games and it is good to watch as it only happens once ever four years.
ReplyDeleteI think the commonwealth games are inportant to the athletes that thrive in a sport but the compition is to tough for them in the olympics and the commonwealth games gives them an oppituinity to win a medal and gives them exp for the olympics.

I have been watching the common wealth games because it is cool watching the new zealanders compete for themselves and their country.
ReplyDeleteI think the common wealth games are important to new zealand because we are a small country and it is one of the few major competitions that new zealanders can compete in and do our country proud. I also think its good that new zealanders get to compete with people all over the world. And as georgie said we have more of a chance of getting medals in the commonwealth games than the olympics.

i haven't been watching much of the common wealth games i only really have been watching some of the netball because i don't have enough time to watch the others and my brothers hog the t.v so i cant :(.
ReplyDeleteYes they are important because it keeps everyone fit, brings the countries together and the common wealth games has some activities that the Olympics doesn't such as the netball and seven's rugby also is a lot easier to win a medal in the common wealth games than it is the Olympics.

ReplyDeletei think the common wealth games are important to new zealand because you get to compete with other people with different abilites to you and from different countries. also the common wealth games have events that the olympics dont hold. we also have more chance of winning medals in the commonwealth games.

I watch the common wealth games quite often even though I got poor man's tv lol. I only really like watch Kiwi's play i dont mind what there doing, but if it's a Kiwi in it then ill watch it. I like to see the Kiwi's win medals.

And it only come's every 4 years so u get to c how people have changed over the years and it is exciting beause everyones been waiting so long just to watch the common wealth games. and we could prove 2 all the bigger countries that NZ does have good atheletes.

i watch the common wealth games quite a bit.ive been watching the rugby 7,weight lifting ,100 metre mens sprints.
ReplyDeletei think it is importent for New Zealand to compete in the common wealth games because it is importent to compete with countries with diferent abilites because we learn each countries weekness and strengths also i think it is good for nz because we are such a small country we will get noticed more form the rest of the world
I think that the common wealth games are important because it gives our good sport people a chance to compete against others from the commonwealth and that they get to travel and do the sport that they love to do.

I also agree with Joe how he says it would make people notice us more because we're a small country.but people in europe do know of new zealand and they think we are a lovely country!

I didnt watch any of the Commonwealth games. I usually only watch tv at night and at that time there were other programs that I usually watch on at the time. I think the Commonwealth games are important to New Zealand beacause it gives them a chance to compete against fewer countries than in the Olympic games, meaning every country gets a better chance to win.

ReplyDeleteI think the common welth games are importent because, if we do good it will get New Zealands reputation up, and its a good chance for younger compeditants to get a good chance to practice for the olipics!
