How do you feel about fireworks. Should we be able to buy fireworks or not? Give reasons for your answer. What alternatives are there to the public sale of fireworks?
Fireworks are good because most people that use them use them properly where it would be unfair to stop selling them just because a few people mess around with them. Fireworks should be on sale to the public but just have harder restrictions and fines for the misuse of them. To limit the amount people buy them you could put the prices up. By Rhys
i think fireworks should be able to continue selling but i think it is unfair that a small group of irresponsible teenagers ruin for us and the fact that we have to be 18 and over is unfair because its the irresponsible people who riun orthough the shops can't just guess about people being irresponsible and people responsible so i think it would be better to just have adult supervision when buying fireworks but other wise i don't know.
i think they should stop selling fireworks because they are dangerous start fires hurt people and scare alot of animals and also some people are not sensible with them. i think they should have more public displays and mabey charge a small fee so that they can afford bigger better and more fireworks displays.
I think that they should carry on selling fireworks and not stop just because some people are irresponsible with them. I think that if people are to miss use them that they should be fined so they don't do it again and they should put more restrictions on them!. I also like the idea of public displays because they can set of lots at a time and everyone can see them even if you did or did not buy them yourself already!
I think fireworks r cool as coz u get to see da coolness lol.i think u sould be able to buy them coz it only harms people if there in the wrong place at the wrong time. i think if people r just wanting to be silly with them they should like a warning or even a fine. i think the public dis play is really good coz u can go watch some cool fireworks so yea i think its fine.

I think any irresponsible people should be band to use fire works and if anyone gets court using them irresponsibly they should be fined but even for the careful ones fire works are dangerous so thats why i think it would be better if everyone just attended the public displays so no one would get hurt :)
Fireworks are really cool. I enjoy watching them I would hate them being taken of the market just because of some stupid people who play with them and hurt themselves. Fireworks should only be sold to people who are over the age of 18-20 (not sure). In a way I think it would be better if you had a licence to use fireworks because its sort of like having a gun. If you have a gun you have to have a liscence to show that you are responsible so fireworks should be like that to.
I like fireworks. They should diffantaly still have the big displays for them, and I don't really know how to 'control' how the public uses them. I think it would be unfair is they banned fireworks and the people who are responsible miss out. I reckon they should keep them.
I do like watching the fireworks, but I think that they could make them only be made for really big public displays because some people abuse them and they use them stupidly and hurt animals and also most animals are scared of them. But having a public display is easier because everyone can usually see them and then people dont have to go around trying to make up their minds on whether they should get this or that. i also think it wouldn't be fair if responsible people weren't allowed to buy them because some irresponsible people have gone and lit a fire with them or hurt an animal with them. I am not sure whether or not they should/n't be sold...
Fireworks are awesome if you have someone who knows how to use them properly. It would be awful if you wouldnt be able to buy fireworks just because some irresponsible people decide to do some stupid things. I think the price in fireworks should go up because then maybe the irresponsible people will think twice about buying something expensive to just do something harmful.
If district councills are to worried about people buying fireworks then i think they should organise a public firwork display for everyone.
i think that fireworks arnt that great because they only cause trouble but they are fun and they should not chang the way that they sell or use them and i thunk that if some one get caught being stupid more than once should get in big twuble.
I hink that fireworks are AWESOME!!! fireworks are alot of fun and i dont think theyshould stop se4lling them just because there is a few stupid people that dont use the how they are ment to be used... they also have public desplays like at New Brighton and other places around the country!
I also think that they should not put the price up but if there is an age limit then maybe they should put that u a year or 2....
I think they should have an age limit of being able to light fireworks, as well as one for being able to buy them. Maybe you could have to have a licence to get fireworks?

i think that we should be able to buy fireworks but the age limit should be raised to 20 years of age as most accidents happen to 18 year olds and the other alternative would be to have firework displays a spot that good for the community. CAMPBELL:)
