  1. Positives:
If your cellphone is conected to the school's wifi system the students could use GoogleDocs. Which allows children to do their work and chat to others with the chat box in the corner silently instead of having a loud noisy classroom. It also allows shy children to share their oppinion rather than putting their hand up and speaking it to the whole class. Student can also ask teachers questions about their homework via GoogleDocs as well. More importantly is that it would save paper. Instead of having two or three A4 pages with your homework on it you could have one page on your phone.
    Negatives:
With the amount of students using cellphones it would waste so much electricity. During school hours people would be wasting their battery power and would have to charge it regurly. A fear most people have with using cellphones at school is that commen text langauge getting mixed up with litracy and writing. Phones with cameras will start to cause privacy issues.

  2. Positives: In canterbury if there is an earthquake or some type of emergancy they can call their parents and tell them whats happened. Also It may help the teachers by apps taking the work away from the teacher with apps to help literacy, math and lots of others. Also Teachers dont have to worry about not being able to read students writing.

Negatives: Students may text during class or use facebook, twitter or some other social networks during class which would distract them from learning. Also the phone could get broken during Lunch time or morning tea by phones falling out of their pockets.

  8. Positives:
Cellphones are used every day and can be used for many things such as goggle and texting and phoneing people when you need to. the recent earthquakes have scraed lots of people and we have had some very big shakesIf the power lines went down in an earthquake like they have done cell phones are used to find out where your family are and where you can meet They are olso away for your parents to contact you if they need to for example if your parents couldnt make it to pick you up then they can text you to let you now if you are going home with someone eles or if you should take the bus ect. Ithink that its a great Idea to have your pjones at school though the most aprpriate action would be to hand it into a teacher or at the office like we do now.
    Negatives:
Celphone s would be a distraction in the classroom which would be a prloblem as like I said it would cause distraction in the classroon which could effect your clss mates and yopur learning abiltity though it would be interesting to conduct a survey where If we want we can bring our cellphones to school for a wek and compare acidemiclly better or worse we are from when we dont have celphones at school to when we do.

  13. yes! I think cellphones should be aloud at school because they can be a benefit for learning. And the teachers could easily just mark something as wrong if people began to write in slang.
if there was a major emergency they could contact their parents faster, which is needed due to the earthquakes we've had recently.
