Current Events 6 Term 3 2012
Next Week the Paralympics start. What do you think about the Paralympics? Do you think that they should be separate from the summer Olympics? What is special about the Paralympics?
I think the paralympics is an excellent idea because it gives disabled people a chance to compete against people who are also disabled because if they competed in the actual Olympics everyone would beat them by a mile and they would have no chance.
I think they should be separate from the Olympics because as I said the people who enter the paralympics would not stand a chance against the non disabled people.
the paralympics are special because it gives disabled people a chance to participate in sporting events against people who have similar capibilites to them.
I think the paralympics should get more publicity and be advertised more as they are not advertised anywhere much as the regular games were
i think the paralympics is a good idea for disabled people to realise there dreams and i think that if the people competing paralympics want to give the summer olympics a go they should have a chance
the paralympics are special becuase its letting people that are disabled a chance to be the best in the world and to get them involved
I think they are awesome because it doesnt leave people with disabilities. Especially because wheelchair rugby is there. Overall i think the paralympics are awesome. Overall i think the paralympics are awesome, i think they are better than the summer games.
I think that its a great idea because when you are disable you usaly cant do anything active ,I think that they should be in the summer Olympics.That they are getting them involved and it can make them want to play more knowing that they have a good chance of going back.
The paralympic games are brilliant because they are allow athletes that have disabilities to compete against other athletes that have disabilties. Also it is more fair on the athletes that have full use on their limbs but are being outrun by some one who is using technogly to run faster than the athletes with full use of their limbs.
Yes i do think that they should be separate to the summer olympics because it would not be fair to the paralympians with everyone beating them by a mile.
I think the paralympics are special because they allow athletes who have disabilties to compete in sports against people in similar conditions and it probably make the paralympians feel lile normal people competing against people like them.
I think that the paralympics are better than the summer olympics because you can see people who have disabilities compete in their own type of olympics rather than having to have to verse people that can waste them. They get a fair chance versing people that have had the same things done to them. by JEREMY
I think the paralympics is really cute to watch because the disabled people are trying really hard and its just so cute hahahahaha. its is a good idea for having the paralympics so they dont have the compete in the Olympics and get smashed. I tthink itsa good thing that the paralympics is straight after ther Olympics brcsuse then it doesnt cost as much money.
the paralympics are good because it gives the disabeled and talented people a chance because if they went to the normal olympics they would all get thrashed and never get anywhere the paralympics are special because they allow athletes to compete up against other athletes with the same disadvantage Mikayla :)
I think that the paralympics is a good idea because people that are disabled can be involved in various sports. Disabled people might have a talent in sport and they get a chance to join while they still get medals. Zane:)))
I think that the paralympics is a great idea because in allows people who don't have all the abilities of others to compete in a competition just for them. It wouldn't be fair if they just cancelled or stoped having the Paralympics and combined them in the Olympics because disabled people can still be pationate about sports and still be really good at them but not as good as the people that aren't disabled. I think that the Paralympics should stay separate from the Olympics. The paralympics are special because it isn't just one of those big major sporting events that only people without disabilities go to, it's a competition that makes the people in this world that aren't so perfect as others to shine and includes them in an event that has been going on for centuries even though it's has a different name
I think the paralympics are a good idea and gives the opportunity to everyone that has had the opportunity to compete in the summer Olympics. i think what is special about the paralympics is how the peple who cant compete in the summer olympics because of ingery or other things can.
I think the paralympics is awesome letting people who have disabilities show what they can do even if that is not walking. no i dont think it should be seprate. it gives people who have diabilities a chance to shine.
I think the Paralympics is a great idea because it gives people with disabilities a chance to compete and challenge themselves without feeling pressured but at the same time some people with disabilities would be rather offended because they just want to be treated like everybody else in the world and the Paralympics just enfisise that people don't treat them like everybody else so I kinda don't know if I like it or not just sitting on the fence for the moment. i think that the paralympics is a great idea abecause it gives pepole who are disabeled a chance to take part in the olympics and to have their chance to shine and rise to the top and to be able to bring a meatal home with them. and just like Erin said they should be treated like everyone else in the world and should not be left out or treated differtly just because they have disabilitie. if i were had a disabilitie would you treat me differntly. i think that the paralympics is a great idea so it gives everyone a chance to shine. i think the paralympics is a awsome idea because it gives the people who are disableed a chance to be number one in sports. yes i think they should be seperate because otherwise they wont have really a chance of winning so they should be with people who are they same ability because in they olympics they are all the same ability. i think they paralympics are vey special because disabled people have a chance to represent their country
I think that the Paralympics is a really good idea because it means that if u were talented but then u had an accident Or if u were did something when your very young it mean that u cancompete in something like the Olympics without getting last in everything But I do think it should be separate from the real Olympics because it is a whole different event altogether though i do think they should be a little closer together
its cool that they get to do there own olympics. no I don't think that they should be seperated from the summer olympics because after the summer olympics we get more plympics from the paralympics. that they have an olmpic games for them.
