Current Events 8 Term 3 2012
The Paralympics have been on few over a week now. To me it seems very difficult to view any of the games on the Television. Apart from the news I have not seen any of the games at all. Have you seen any of the games? Why do you think that the games are not being broadcast on any of the main Television channels? Do you think that the TV stations have placed little value on these games? Do you think they should have as much television coverage as the Summer Olympics?

i have not seen much of the paralympics on tv, maybe cause its been on while we were at school.i think its wrong that everything revolves around money, and that they should have still put in on tv even if not many people watch it, imagine the parents not being able to watch it.

I have only seen highlights and i would like to see more considering that i like the paralympics more than the summer games. I think they have placed little value on the games. even when there are famous new zealand paralympians competing like sophie pascoe who has won 6 medals at these paralympics. I think they should have just as much coverage as the summer olympics.

I haven't seen any of the Olympic games apart from on the news! I Think that they aren't broadcasting them because they believe that people don't want to see it as much as the summer games. I personally think that they aren't making an effort to have at least some channels having live coverage of the games. The Paralympics should have as much coverage as the summer games because it's still the Olympics, people are still winning medals, and of anything the Paralympics have to train harder and longer than the summer games athletes to achieve that same things.
ReplyDeleteI havent seen any thing on tv to do with the Paralmpics. I think its really wrong for them to not be broadcasting it because like Scotty said imagine if the persons family wanted to watchit and couldnt see it, think how sad you would feel. I think the games are not been broadcasted because the people think that people won't want to watch it as much as the summer olympics, which i find really disrespecful to the disabled people because they still train, infact they probably train more than the people in the summer olympics so that they can go to the games and participate. But personally i think they should broadcast the Paralympics as much as the Summer olympics.

i haven't seen anything on TV which is wrong because the paralympics are just as important as the summer Olympics and also, what if someone's family and friends wanted to watch them compete but they couldn't afford to go see it live. I don't think the main television channels are broadcasting them because they think less people would watch them, which I think is incorrect I think just as many people would watch them. yes i think the television stations have placed little value on the paralympics which is bad because the paralympics are just as important. they should have just as much footage of the paralympics as they did of the summer Olympics because the disabled people still train as hard as the non-disabled people so that they can go to the paralympics. so personally I think the paralympics are just as important as the summer Olympics
ReplyDeleteI think it is very sad the paralympics are just as important as the summer olympics. If they showed coverage of the paralympics i would watch it definielty. I think it is not fair that we cannot watch our own athletes representing us at an event just as important as the summer and winter olympics. If i were a paralympian i would be very offended that my own country wasnt broadcasting me at the olympics. The only coverage i hav seen is breif snippets on the news.

I think that the paralympics should be broadcasted live because they are just as exciting as the summer Olympics! The TV producers probably think that the paralympics aren't as exciting, but they are wrong! All they care about is the money which is not right! To me they are a bunch of FEDS! just in case you don't know, I call the evil government officials/Federal

i think that the paralympics should be on t.v so that we can watch the events and to see how they do stufff differently to how they did it on the London 2012 Olympic games that have just been on it would be awesome to see their techniques. i don't get why they care about money so much (well you could buy a "60inch" t.v with the money they get payed but oh well lets get back to the point now so) shouldn't they be trying to please their costumers by broadcasting the games but no they just don't think that the paralympics are special enough to go onto the t.v. so overall i think that they should be broadcasting the paralympics so everyone and i mean everyone can watch them and be as excited as they were with the London 2012 Olympic games

i think its ridiculious that the paralympics are not played as much as the summer olympics. the paralympics should be played as much as the summer olympics. it is dissapointing that there is hardly any coverage of the games. imagine how the parents would feel if they couldnt make it to the games so they had to watch it at home so they could hardly see it and they couldnt see how their son/daughter have gone.
ReplyDeleteI think that maybe the News and advertising agencies dont think that the public think much about the Paprolympics even though they are amazing athletes and concidering the Summer Olympics are just over the maybe the cost off advertising and brodcasting especially from the other side of the world they cant afford to show the parolympics and I imagine that it would cost quite a bit if we want to see things live when the olympics are being held in a time zone that is roughly 12 hours different from ours then that could could cut into the costs a bit aswell as the highlights

i haven't seen any paralympics because its not on any of the main channels and its not advertised as much as the summer olympics but i think it should be on tv more so we can watch them because its a whole diffrent game because of the disabilatys

I think that a lot of people actually do want to watch the Paralympics but it seems like its never on the tv. I have only seen a bit of the highlights but that is it. I think that it is not really fair for the athletes in it because it's amazing for them to have got this far but then only the people in London can actually watch them.
ReplyDeletetruly i havnt seen any of the paralympics and i even when through all of my tv channels. the tv people should of had loads of coverage of the paralympics like the summer olympics because i think it is unfair have loads of coverage on the summer olympics and not much when the paralympics are on so tv people who think less of the paralympics rethink next time!!!!!!!!!
